Terms, risk and privacy

Risk warning
Trading crypto-assets, and memecoins in particular, is extremely risky. Most memecoins lose almost all of their value, often within hours, and some are outright scams. Prices can move faster than you can react, and thin liquidity can make a coin hard or impossible to sell. Only trade money you can afford to lose completely. Nothing on Wispy is investment advice.
How trading on Wispy works
- Wispy is software. It shows market data and builds swap transactions; it does not hold, manage or move anyone's money.
- You trade from your own wallet: either a wallet you already have (Phantom, Solflare, MetaMask and others), which shows you every trade to approve, or the Wispy wallet created for you when you sign in with Google, X or email. The Wispy wallet's key is created and kept by Privy (privy.io) in secure hardware; neither Wispy nor anyone working on it can see or use it, and you can export it at any time. Wispy will never ask for your private key or seed phrase.
- Swaps are routed and sent by Jupiter (jup.ag), an independent Solana swap aggregator, at the price it finds. The expected amount, price impact, slippage and fees are shown before you confirm; the final result can differ.
- Solana transactions are final. A trade can't be reversed once it lands.
- The red-flag check is automatic and based on public data from Jupiter. It can be wrong or incomplete, and a coin that passes every check can still fail or be a scam.
- Practice mode uses real prices with $1,000 of pretend dollars saved in your browser. No real money is involved.
- Perps (perpetual futures with leverage) run on Hyperliquid, an independent exchange. When a leverage trade needs money there, your Wispy wallet moves USDC to your own Hyperliquid account (owned by your Wispy wallet's EVM address) through Relay (relay.link), and you trade with a trading key that lives in your browser and can't withdraw. Leverage is not available to US persons. Leverage multiplies losses as well as gains: a small move against you can liquidate your whole position. Perps are complex products and are not suitable for most people.
Fees
- During the beta Wispy adds no fee of its own. You pay the Solana network fee and Jupiter's routing fee on swaps (and Jupiter's fee when a limit order fills), Hyperliquid's trading fee and funding on leverage, and Relay's fee when money moves between chains or to and from your leverage account. Every fee is shown before you confirm. Wispy Premium is an optional subscription for Social.
- If Wispy introduces a fee later, it will be shown before you confirm every trade.
Terms of use
- You are responsible for your own trades, your wallet's security and any taxes on your trading.
- You must be 18 or older to use Wispy.
- Wispy is not available to persons in the United States, or anywhere using it would be against local law.
- Wispy is provided as it is, during a beta. We try to keep it accurate and online but can't guarantee it is error-free or always available. To the extent the law allows, Wispy is not liable for losses from using the software, from market movements, or from third-party services such as Jupiter, wallets or Solana itself.
- The Bots lab runs bots on your practice money with Hyperliquid prices. It never uses real money.
- Wispy's code, design, texts, logo and name belong to Wispy. You may use Wispy, but you may not copy or republish its code, design or texts, or use the Wispy name or logo, without our written permission.
Community rules
Wispy lets you create a profile, post, reply, follow people and send messages. Keep it useful and honest. Not allowed:
- Scams, phishing, fake giveaways, asking for seed phrases or private keys, or links to wallet drainers.
- Pump-and-dump coordination, paid promotion you don't disclose, or pretending to be someone else (including Wispy).
- Spam, harassment, threats, hate, sexual content involving minors, or anything else illegal.
Posts about coins are opinions, not advice. Use the report button on any post, profile or conversation to tell us about content that breaks these rules or the law; we review every report and may remove content or suspend accounts. If we remove your content or suspend your account, you can ask us why and ask for a second look at wickyapp@proton.me. You keep the rights to what you post, and you allow Wispy to show it on Wispy.
How posts are ordered. The Hot tab ranks posts from the last 7 days by likes, reposts, replies and quotes, with newer posts higher; posts by Wispy Premium members count double there, and Premium members are suggested first in "People to follow". The New and Following tabs simply show posts in time order. Posts from accounts you blocked are hidden.
Wispy Premium is an optional monthly plan, paid one month at a time in crypto from your own wallet (it never renews by itself). It adds the golden fire next to your name, the boost described above, and videos in posts. Posting text and pictures, replying, following and messaging are free.
Privacy
- Without signing in, Wispy stores nothing about you on a server. Your settings, watchlist and practice balance are stored only in your own browser (localStorage). Clearing your browser data deletes them.
- When you trade with real money while signed in, Wispy keeps a private list of your trades and money moves (deposits, withdrawals, sends, moves to and from leverage) on its server, so your history and profit are the same on every device. Only you can see it, unless you turn on "Share my trades".
- If you turn on notifications, Wispy keeps the address your browser gives for them, and the wallet addresses it watches to tell you about your trades. Turn them off in Profile → Wallet to delete that.
- If you add wallets or link another device to your account, Wispy keeps your wallets' public addresses and names, and the kind of each device (like "Chrome on Windows"), on its server so they show on all your devices. Link codes are stored only as a one-way hash, work once and expire after 10 minutes; tries are counted to stop guessing. Removing a device removes its wallets from the list.
- To stop abuse, Wispy counts requests per IP address for a day (stored only as a one-way hash). Anonymous post views are counted the same way.
- When you sign in, Privy (privy.io) handles the sign-in and the Wispy wallet and keeps your email address or Google / X account details for that purpose.
- When you create a profile, your profile (name, username, bio, pictures), posts, replies, likes, reposts and follows are public. They are stored with Supabase in the EU (Ireland). Direct messages are visible only to you and the person you message, but they are not end-to-end encrypted: if someone reports a conversation, we may read it to handle the report. Notifications and blocks are private.
- You can change your profile at any time, and delete it under Edit profile → Delete my profile. That permanently deletes your profile, posts, replies, likes, follows, messages and uploaded pictures.
- Your browser talks directly to Jupiter (prices, token data, balances and swaps), GeckoTerminal and CoinGecko (charts and lists), Hyperliquid (leverage), Relay (moving money between chains), DefiLlama and PublicNode (balances on other chains). They receive your IP address and, when you trade or view your portfolio, your public wallet address, under their own privacy policies.
- Wallet addresses and transactions on Solana are public by nature.
